I have some McCoy vases with a small, inconspicuous chip in each. One may also have a
hairline crack. They're still very attractive! But does this mean they are
worthless in terms of selling? I've enjoyed them for many years, but it's time
now to downsize.
Answer:I would think it would depend on the item. If it were a truly rare item folks would probably overlook any damage...but if it's a more common shape it would definitely affect the value. You could check the completed lists on ebay for similar shapes and conditions and get an idea what they actually sell for. Values are kinda fickle just now.
